Should we weigh ourselves, and if so, how often is enough? At DietDitch, while we think it is important to know your numbers, there has to be a balance. It is prudent to know what you weigh, and more importantly, your waist size, but the last thing we want is for you to become a scale addict.

If you have not weighed yourself for sometime, we encourage you to do so. If you have fat to reduce, jumping on the scales not only lets you enjoy your progress as you approach your ideal weight, but it also allows you to keep an eye on your weight. Part of the DietDitch program is being honest with yourself – if you have weight to shed, you need to fess up and take action to bring your numbers into line with what is healthy for your height and frame size.

The Best Time to Weigh?

The best time to weigh yourself is in the morning before breakfast and after going to the toilet with no clothes on. I would recommend you do this once a week or once a fortnight. Knowledge is power, so be honest and keep an eye on your weight. This way it is easier to make the small adjustments needed if the readout starts to increase.
